STAAD Foundation Advanced Help

Sliding and Overturning Factor Multiplier Form

Used to assign sliding and overturning factor multipliers for each load case in a project. These values are multiplied by the safety factors specified in the design parameters.

For example, Sliding factor set to 1.5 from design parameters, sliding multiplier is set to 1.2 then effective sliding safety factor used in design will be 1.5 x 1.2 = 1.8.

Note: By default STAAD Foundation Advanced sets safety and overturning factor as 1.0.

Opens when Loads & Factors > Sliding and Overturning Factor Table is selected in the Main Navigator pane.

The default values can be changed by inputting new values into the table like any spreadsheet.

Tip: The tab key or arrow keys may be used to move from one cell to the next in the table.
